How an engagement works.
This page exists to be forwarded. If you are considering a record-defensibility review, your procurement team and your counsel will want the fee basis, the data handling, and who owns the output. All three are below, on one page, with nothing held back for a call.
Fees
Every engagement is fixed fee, agreed in writing before any work begins. There is no hourly rate, no retainer, and no scope creep clause, because the scope is a fixed number of records.
| Engagement | Fee | Turnaround | |
|---|---|---|---|
| AI Documentation Defensibility Review Five de-identified records, read against the five conditions and the seven failure modes | $250 | Five working days | Scope it |
| AI Governance Documentation Review A documentation standard or template set, plus up to five records produced under it | $500 | Ten working days | Scope it |
| Benchmark Access and Calibration One licensed run of the held-out record set, scoring returned by the holder | $750 | Agreed at scoping | Scope it |
Invoiced on agreement. Purchase orders accepted. Payment terms are net 30 unless your procurement process requires otherwise, in which case they follow yours.
Data handling
All customer files and sample records submitted for diagnostic evaluation are processed in ephemeral working memory and deleted upon delivery of the diagnostic report. Customer records are never stored, logged to public research sets, or used for model training.
The mechanism, not just the promise. There is no upload form anywhere on this site. No page accepts a file, and no intake page has a form of any kind. Records arrive by whatever channel your organization already approves for material of that sensitivity, and de-identification is agreed in writing before the first one is sent.
- De-identification. Records are supplied de-identified by you, to a standard agreed at scoping. If a record arrives carrying an identifier, it is returned rather than redacted, so the decision about your data stays with you.
- Retention. Records are held only for the duration of the read and destroyed on delivery. The finding is retained; the records are not.
- No sub-processing. Records are read by one person. They are not sent to a third-party service, and they are not put through the public review engine or any model for training.
- Confidentiality. An NDA on your paper is welcome and is signed before scoping if you prefer that order.
The deliverable
You own it outright. The written finding is your work product on delivery: no licence back, no reuse of your material in research or marketing, no case study without your separate written agreement.
The finding is structured in four parts: an executive summary and defensibility assessment, the failure modes observed with the passage that shows each one, findings against each of the five review conditions, and a prioritised list of documentation controls.
What this is not
No. It is a structured read of documentation quality. It does not assess whether a decision was correct, lawful, or defensible in law, and it is not a substitute for counsel.
No. JRS is designed to support organizational governance, auditability, documentation traceability, and review processes that may be relevant to frameworks and regulatory requirements such as the EU AI Act and NIST AI RMF. It does not establish compliance with any of them, and no framework requires it.
Not yet, and the evidence is published rather than summarised. Reproducibility and reliability are reported. Accuracy on the detection set is 83.9% across 16 independent experts and 384 graded reads, 95% confidence interval 72.7 to 95.1, scored against a key fixed before any scoring took place under a pre-registered analysis plan. Controlled comparison against unaided review is deployed and has not reached its enrollment target, so no claim of improvement over careful reading is made.

Before you commit anything
Twenty minutes, no charge, and it is not a discovery call. Send one de-identified record in advance and it gets read on the call, against the seven modes and the five conditions, with you watching. You see exactly what a finding looks like on your own material before deciding whether to pay for four more.
No slides, no proposal afterwards unless you ask for one, and the record is deleted when the call ends.

Starting
Email with your record type, approximate volume and timeframe. You receive scope, the fixed fee, turnaround and an invoice in one reply, within one business day. No discovery call is required, and none will be proposed unless you ask for one.
Not ready for that? The seven-point record check is public and ungated, requires nothing from you, and transmits nothing. Most people should read that first.
